 PurFoods Fitness

How many times have you counseled frustrated client who is making slow progress, only to find out that they leave their workout and go straight through the Hardee's drive through.  Many times clients feel justified in eating junk food or just more food because they are working out hard with you.  Plus, while they are trying to carve time out of their busy lives to workout, they may be more tempted by the convenience and speed of fast food.

PurFoods Fitness is a fresh food delivery service dedicated to helping us help our clients.  The food is delivered weekly and it is fresh, not frozen, and delicious.  The company is set up to allow fitness instructors and personal trainers offer the food to their clients, and earn commission while helping clients meet their goals.

Read on for reviews on the service, the food, and my clients' experiences with the company.

About a week ago Tom with FitnessBusinessRadio.com sent me an email asking if I would like to try this healthy food plan that was designed with personal trainers in mind.  So many personal trainers are fighting an uphill battle when it comes to getting their clients to lose weight because the client works out hard, then feels justified to leave and get a Big Mac because of the hard workout.  This food is a way to combat that cycle by getting clients pre-prepared healthy food and snacks.

So I emailed him back with my address, because I love food.  Today I got this big white box on my front porch this morning from UPS.  The packaging itself is kind of amazing.  A big styrofoam cooler packed with ice packs and FOOD!  The ice was bairly melted even though I know the package was shipped yesterday.  That in itself was pretty cool.

When I started unpacking the food I was really excited.  I saw this delicious looking fresh food, already portioned and prepared.  One of the coolest things that I have noticed so far is that this stuff is fresh.  It's not frozen.  OK - this is reading from the documentation now - it says that there are no preservatives and that they package a special way so the food stays fresh longer.

So from what I am reading it looks like you sign up with them and get a new delivery of food every week, and that's what you are supposed to eat that week.  Sounds pretty good.  I am going to do a separate post for each food that I eat so look to the left for those.

From One Trainer to You...

"Packaged foods! I never thought I would try prepared meals shipped to my door! Why? Not because I don't like the thought of the convenience of it--it just seemed to me that no matter how the food is prepared, it would taste like cardboard! After all, I like good food, fresh food, healthy food. I am very fussy. So, when I heard about PurFoods for my clients, I thought it was a good idea for THEM because many of them hate to cook, can't cook, don't know what or how much to eat, and are forever "dieting." I thought it was a great idea for them; yet, I couldn't rightfully endorse a product without trying it myself. So, I did! And guess what! First of all, the packaging of the food is amazing--packed tight so the freshness stayed--and it was delivered right to my door when promised! And, all I had to do was pop my meal in the microwave! But the best part was the TASTE! Delicious, fresh, filling--like a personal chef prepared the meal in my home! Now I can't stop telling people about PurFoods--because it really is pure--and so satisfying!"
